There’s a field of tall, skinny trees, birch, maybe, in perfect endless rows you pass on the train on the way to Barcelona. For their order, they look like the most modern thing for 100 miles in every direction, fertile countryside otherwise dotted with castles and houses stacked up on hills like saggy cardboard boxes, their warm painted stucco a charming distraction from their disrepair.

Can't Sleep
I took a nap this evening between an early dinner and 19:00 movie; now it’s 2:00 and I can’t sleep. I’m up to speed on all my friends’ blogs, and even a few whose owners aren’t my friends anymore.
