Since returning from Rome in February, I’ve spent hours rifling through 400 photographs to pick only my very favorites to upload, procrastinating for weeks at a time in between about finishing the task. I do this (the choosing, not the procrastinating) because in the age of digital photography, people snap and upload random pictures almost without limit and often without discretion, and expect you to take your hands out of your pants long enough to go through the whole album.
Me, I’ve got a conscience about conspicuous bandwidth consumption* and a hypersensitivity to the modern attention span. So I sifted out about 75% of the photos and uploaded just under two Facebook albums’ worth (around 100). I know that’s a lot, but I hope you’ll at least take a look at them. I’m actually proud of some of them, but more importantly, it was a bitch to get them posted.
*Not worried enough to stop uploading videos of the sky out my window nearly every day. Priorities.
