This is one of my favorite spots in the world, and I love making this drive. I like the hairpin curves around blind corners that wind up and down steep hills, passing under bridges and over train tracks. It starts at Luigi’s, Vegeterranean, and the Northside; it ends in Goodyear Heights. It’s nature, it’s rusty metal, it’s small houses and chainlink fences. It’s pure Akron.
I’ve been fantasizing about making this drive for months while counting down to coming home from France. I finally went there yesterday and made the drive after lunch at Vegeterranean. It was everything I was expecting and more.
